The Oldest Lines in Sun City West Run Under These Streets
R.H. Johnson is the founding core of the community, laid out along R.H. Johnson Boulevard when Del Webb broke ground in 1978. That history matters underground: the cast iron and galvanized drain lines here have carried nearly half a century of EPCOR hard water, and they are among the most scaled and corroded in all of Sun City West. A clog on one of these lines is almost never a one-off; it is the pipe finally narrowing to the point where normal use backs up.
Because so much of R.H. Johnson predates the exterior two-way cleanout, we frequently clear these lines through the roof vent or an inside fixture, which is why we plan the access before we roll and bring descaling gear rather than just a cable.
